Frequently Asked Questions

Access and Security 2 questions
  • I’m arriving very late. How do I get in?

If you’re arriving late and you believe the alarm may already be armed, then you’ll need to contact the control room prior to entering the building.

    1. Call the Alarm Control Room on 1300 377 662 before you open the front door
    2. You will need to identify yourself, the company you work for and your companies printer password
    3. After identifying you, you’ll be asked to nominate a departure time, after which the alarm will be armed
    4. The monitoring company will disable the alarm.  Only enter the building after you’ve been given the all clear by the monitoring company.
  • I’m at work, but need to stay late

If you’re already in the building and need to stay beyond 11 pm at night, then you’ll need to contact the security company and let them know you’ll be departing after the alarm system is armed.

General 1 question
  • Is there a Fax I can use?

Yes, we still have a Fax, but these days it’s rarely used.

LaunchPad has one fax line available for Collaborators to use free of charge.  The incoming phone number is 03 9429 8034.  The Groundcrew receives inbound faxes via Email and will forward to the appropriate Collaborator.

You can send a fax from the multi-function printer P03L0.0 (Flinders Room).  Select Fax on the screen, place your pages in the document feeder, enter the phone number to call and press Start.

Meeting Rooms 3 questions
  • Why is my meeting room allowance less this month?

Nexudus calculates your next month’s meeting room allowance on the 1st of the month and then deducts any existing bookings you have in that month from that allowance.  Any future bookings are reconciled against the allowance of the month that the booking occurs.  If you have more bookings in a month that add up to more than your monthly allowance, then difference is automatically applied to your next month’s invoice.

  • Do Members pay full rates for Room Booking?

No. All members of active plans (Virtual, Co-worker, Collaborator and Business) get a 16.67% discount off meeting rooms. We make our rooms available to non-members (mostly businesses in the Cremorne area) to encourage the LaunchPad community to interact with businesses in Cremorne. Rooms provided to non-members are a 20% premium on member prices.

  • Why is the Tram Saloon not available to book?

While we refurbish the tram, we’re providing you free access to the saloons on an ad-hoc (first come, first served) basis. Later, when the spaces are finished the way we want them, we’ll turn on the booking system.

One proviso: When the Tram Stage is booked, the Saloons are linked and become unavailable (essentially booked as well for the event).

Printers 1 question
  • Where’s my print job gone?

LaunchPad accounts for printing on a per-Collaborator basis – this means we need to track who has printed each document.

When printer access was set up on your computer, you will have been provided with a 4-digit PIN.  This is the same PIN used to access the Copy function on the printer.  When printing, the PIN must be sent with the print job – your computer does this automatically if it’s been set up correctly.

For Macs (OSx), you’ll need to select the Preset containing the PIN (in the JobLog section).  The Groundcrew normally creates a Launchpad-Colour and LaunchPad-B&W preset.
Adobe products are not well behaved on OSx and you may find sending from products like Acrobat fail to print.  In this case, click on the ‘Printer…’ link at the bottom of the Adobe Print Dialogue – this will allow you to select the correct Preset.

  • When I go to book via PassPort, I can’t see the ‘Select start end & time’ button when selecting the search criteria?

For iPhones you may have larger fonts selected under ‘accessibily’ – this pushes the button below the edge of the screen. Try setting the font size to the default.
You may also have a warning message about paying invoices – this warning message may push the buttons down. The only solution is to pay the invoices first.
